Excellence

"To achieve excellence, you must care more than others think wise, risk more than others think safe, and dream more than others think practical”

Great quote and one I find to be quite inspiring

Letting it in

Letting it in... seems to present some problems in that there is no space to let anything in because we are so full up of it all. So I am thinking that there is a possibility to let it go, before you can let it in. Filled up with it all... all the stuff we hold on to. No letting go of any of it and if we do, its maybe a little something here and there. When the rhythm is off the tendency might be to just slooooow dooooown. Begin a withdrawing process...becoming tired and not wanting to participate.

I am thinking it is time to let it go. To begin, I believe that we might want to first agree in this starting off period with the premise; "there is something for me to let go of... what could that be?" Just look... don't feel compiled to have to come up with an answer....just look. I am thinking that there is stuff that we just made up and then forgetting that we were the ones who just made it up... so we have then subsequently ( probably pretty much unconsciously) constructed a made up thing we call truth. You know the truth . the what? The disconnect if you well, that stops us from forgiving beings. Forgiving others, but maybe more to the point forgiving ourselves. It is in the act of forgiving that you catch glimpses of loving. The essence of which is grace. Things we tell ourselves, in that never ending chatter, in our heads that consumes our lives.

When the Absurd is Screaming in Silence

When will the people of the United States of America wake up? When will there be a genuine feeling for doing the right thing, and doing; the right thing, is what we the people demand and then to have "that" take the leadership role in shaping a country that really could live up to the words that were put to paper, that we said we will abide by. Oh but that was before special interests bought the souls and minds of those in control and I use the word control purposely for there is not one ounce of leadership being exhibited in Halls of Congress, the Judicial Branch and the rather disappointing Executive Branch “Change… what change?”. They are too busy fixing deals, eliminating opposition, taking monies (millions) filibustering. Exhibiting outrageous opinions, as can be seen, on special venues set up by the special interests designed to confuse, disguise, and turn off those that might want to do the “right thing. Not just continuing to increase the coffers of the special interests in the tune of hundreds of billions annually off the backs of the poor and the middle class. Either it will change or simply, end for it has become unsustainable, for the only value that the special interests hold in us, little people, is that we consume and consume and consume. No, consume no value. It really is that simple. I think we need to get their attention what do you think we should do?

Same Circus; Just A Different Clown

And so It dies...twisting in the wind. Major corporations have bought off all those they needed to, so that Public Option is but a pipe dream. Can you imagine actually giving the public an Option? How preposterous. The Public should have no option what were they thinking of...an option? "We the people" means so little now days. We spend hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars on a war we should have never been in. Then we spend hundreds and hundreds of billions of dollars for the graft and corruption of billionaire bankers, and AIG. But when it comes to Health Care for the citizens of the United States it is a no go. It seems to me that we have the same circus but we just have a different clown. When will the people of America and the rest of the world for that matter wake up? We need to take a stand to no longer simply accept the crumbs swept to the floor from the banquet tables of the of three percent of the world's population and it is all at our expense.

Michael Jackson

You might want to take a moment and I am talking about taking a real moment and stop and just get, how loving and caring a person and an extraordinary loving person Michael is. In all honesty Michael is... The Finest Entertainer EVER and just acknowledge; the love and the passion Michael had for life. Michael was not just a "rock star" he was a living, loving, breathing, giving, extraordinary individual who loves everybody and everything a whole lot.

He gave and never would think not to. He loved and never would think not to. He gave life, his all and would never think not to. Michael is someone who never withheld and always tried to welcome the love back but received, by so many, who would do their damn est to undermine, take advantage of , use, and blame, blame the love that Michael is. Michael's love is not measured in record sales and corporate ads and sold out concerts as some would would deem the only way to measure success.

Michael 's love is measured in quite moments when things aren't going so great and I 'll Be There comes on. Or in times when you are out feeling good and Billy Jean comes on and the house rocks. Michael's ability to create; when you get to sit back and watch Thriller and see how it could be done in a most extraodinary way.

"We are the World" when most were saying "dahh". His friendship with Beverly Sills, "bubbles" and his love for a true great, Elizabeth Taylor.

Michael is something of a wonder, and his love, his generosity along with his abilities touched
and moved every one of us. Yes All of us in one way or another so lets take a moment and lets take a look as to how we, you and me can carry on with what Michael was pointing to on his way through our lives.

Michael, Thank you.

Hello out there Anyone there?

What is going on? Does any one know? Any ideas? How say you? You Think? and are you sure?
I have had my eyes fill with tears as I look out to what I have always felt was a pretty great society only to see the struggle the everyday people are having and I think we are all hoping for the best, but not sure if any one really knows. So given that, how about it if we rewrite it a little differently this time around.

If we are going to clear the slate so to speak and start anew let us all do that, so that will include the everyday people and not just have it be all about the corporations which by the way will be paid by you guessed it the everydayers who are now in the process of rewriting how this is going to go.

I am still as much now as I was last Tuesday, so hurt, that rights were taken away from some very special people and you know who I am talking about you know; the guy in your office, neighbor down the street, brother in law, teacher, doctor. Your child's best friend's mother. So sad that the court allowed the state of California Constitution be be revised by a simple majority, that is like having 2 wolves and lamb, decide what is for dinner.

The pain I am sure is felt throughout our state and on into every part in life. Nothing to feel good about. When people are miss treated by others this is something we can do something about and so we need to start to flex our power you know; we, the power of the everydayers.

"We hold these truths to be self evident that some people are created equal" you know it just really doesn't have quite the same ring. We have a lot of things to work on so let us not get caught up in being ugly to one another.

We derserve better and we shall get it....all of us.
